The swift pace of industrialization and urbanization, along with pressing energy and environmental challenges affecting human survival and development, has become a focal point globally. While the Asia-Pacific region is witnessing rapid urban growth and associating various environmental issues. Among the environmental problems raised, air pollution remains one of the top public concerns.
In light of this situation, developing effective strategies to mitigate air pollution is of utmost importance. The transportation sector is increasingly prioritizing renewable energy sources and electric vehicles (EVs) as solutions to these energy and environmental challenges. In many different countries, research and knowledge sharing are essential to support the electrification revolution embodied in the upcoming economic model. This includes advancements in EVs, electric ships and aircraft, railway systems, personal transport, energy storage, power grids, power electronics, and intelligent electronics. With the supports from organizations such as the IEEE Industry Applications Society, IEEE Power Electronics Society, IEEE Power and Energy Society, IEEE Transportation Electrification Community and China Electrotechnical Society, we are coordinating the upcoming ITEC-AP 2025 event in Singapore from 25 to 28 November 2025. This event will serve as a vital platform for the presentation of academic papers on numerous engaging topics.
Keynote and invited speakers will address critical subjects such as the role of motor drives and control in transportation electrification, electromagnetic vibration of electrical machines, theoretical analysis and optimal design, electrical power and propulsion, along with panels discussing EV battery reuse and recycling. We are optimistic about new business models and career opportunities in electrification manufacturing and the broader EV ecosystem. Therefore, we aim to provide a platform for technological and knowledge sharing across all educational levels, from professionals to students of diverse backgrounds. We advocate for a transition to clean energy, positioning academic events as crucial platforms for knowledge exchange within the industry and educational sectors. These gatherings promote the sharing of insights, ideas, innovations, and perspectives essential for advancing carbon-neutral technology.
On behalf of the organizing committee for ITEC-AP 2025, we are delighted to co-host this significant event in Singapore. We extend a warm welcome to all delegates and participants of ITEC-AP 2025, and we are confident that your contributions and shared experiences will further the development of future mobility within the bio-circular-green economy, benefiting both the Asia-Pacific region and the global community.
