For the IoT lab tour, we will introduce the lithium-ion battery equipment and ageing tests, and explain how these tests support the development of battery management system (BMS) algorithms.\u00a0<\/p>

As one of the most widely adopted energy storage technologies, lithium-ion batteries play a critical role in electric vehicles and power grids. To ensure reliable and safe battery operation, a BMS is essential. The ageing data collected from our tests are used to develop key BMS functions, including:<\/p>

  • Battery modeling,<\/li><\/ul>
    • State estimation: state-of-charge (SOC) estimation and state-of-health (SOH) estimation<\/li><\/ul>
      • Ageing mechanism analysis: LAM (loss of active material) and LLI (loss of lithium inventory)<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

        For the lab tour, we will introduce advanced research and development of high-performance electric machines and drive systems for applications such as electric vehicles, renewable energy systems, and aerospace propulsion.\u00a0<\/p>

        NTU motor Lab is an interdisciplinary team researching on the science and technology of electric motors and drives, renewable energies and electro mechanical systems. The lab combines analytical modeling, finite-element simulation, and experimental validation using full-scale motor prototypes and state-of-the-art test rigs.\u00a0We explore new materials, motor topologies, and control strategies dedicated to intelligent and efficient generation and conversion of electrical energy.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
